<p>1343900 Electrostatic precipitators SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN AB 19 May 1971 [22 May 1970] 15822/71 Heading B2J An electro-static precipitator comprises a number of rows of precipitation electrodes 4 arranged parallel to the direction of gas flow, emission electrodes (5) situated between the rows, an impact device for cleaning the electrodes and a support arrangement for the precipitation electrodes which comprise a plurality of linked plates in each row. As shown in the plan view of Fig. 2 wherein gas flow is from left to right each row comprises a plurality of linked precipitation electrode plates 4 which are supported at opposite ends by guides 8 on support bars 7. The plates 4 extend to the full height of the precipitator and the bars 7 for successive cells of the precipitator are held together by ties 17 secured to main frame members (16, Fig. 1, not shown). Each side of each plate 4 is bent back, the plates in each row being linked either by tongues 9 or by channel-shaped straps 10 or by bands 9' (Figs. 4 and 5, not shown) extending from one guide 8 to the other. The emission electrodes (5) are of spiral shape and the rapper mechanism (6, 19) is conventional.</p> |
