<p>The mechanism separates the upset vessel from a row of upright ones as they move forward in a row, having an endless belt with guides at opposite sides, and is particularly for handling glass milk bottles in a filling machine. At one side of the belt (1) is a spider wheel (5) at a level slightly above it and rotating about a vertical axis (6). Of the lateral guide (3) only the top part is present opposite the wheel, so that any upset vessel is ejected by the latter underneath. The wheel can be arranged to turn freely, and the guide can consist of two horizontal bars (4) one above the other, the lower one being interrupted opposite the wheel.</p> |
