PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce illuminance unevenness of a document face illuminated by an illumination device for reading an image.SOLUTION: An image reader 207 for reading an image of a document 203 comprises: an illumination device 50 for illuminating the document; a solid state imaging device 206 for receiving reflected light from the document and converting the reflected light into an image signal. The illumination device comprises a plurality of light emitting devices 100 and a light guide body 102 for leading light emitted from the plurality of light emitting devices to the document. The light guide body comprises: a deflection face 105 for deflecting light to turn light emitted from the plurality of light emitting elements toward the document; and an emission face 106 for emitting the light deflected by the deflection face toward the document. A plurality of first curved optical faces are disposed on the deflection face in parallel in a longitudinal direction X of the light guide body. A plurality of second curved optical faces are arranged on the emission face in parallel in the longitudinal direction of the light guide body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
