<p>1363217 Scrap consolidating press; shearing LINDEMANN MASCHINENFABRIK GmbH 21 March 1973 [24 May 1972] 13620/73 Headings B3H and B3W A scrap consolidating press comprises a trough 2 to receive the scrap, a cover 5 to close the trough and a ram 3 to push the scrap from the trough into a press box 1, the opening between the trough and the press box having a shear blade 16 angled to the direction of movement of the ram to co-operate with a shear blade 13 on the ram. The blade 13 is normal to the direction of movement of the ram so as to operate in a scissors fashion with the blade 16. The cover 5 is shaped to completely close the trough by having an inclined edge 17 at the same angle as the blade 16. The ram is hydraulically operated and has a plate 7 so that the cover can be opened as the ram retracts. The press box has vertical and horizontal rams 9, 10 to further compress the scrap.</p> |
