<p>1422587 Incinerator for the combustion of solid and liquid waste meterials AIR PREHEATER CO INC 4 June 1973 [6 June 1972] 26482/73 Heading F4B An incinerator for the combustion of solid and liquid waste materials comprises an elongate housing 10 having an access door 14 for the supply of solid material to be burned, an outlet port leading to a stack 16 for the exhaust of hot gaseous products of combustion, air supply tubes 20, an inlet 32 for sludge or liquid waste, and a removable shelf or tray 28 with a rim 42 to retard the flow of liquid waste whereby the liquid waste is retained and subjected to hot combustion products circulating in the housing. Fig. 2 (not shown) illustrates an afterburner (17) in the exhaust stack and a modified tray 28 having a deep well (30). Leading to the well are the liquid inlet 32 and a compressed air conduit (35) to provide for air agitation of the liquid. The lateral rim of the tray may be provided with undulations or serrations.</p> |
