The pen comprises a first ink reservoir in which ink is freely accommodated, and below this a second one with capillary ink accumulation passage, to which ink is periodically fed via an injection passage between the two, after which it is discharged from the second one to the nib. The injection passage comprises a spacious main section (32) and an ultra-capillary ink passage (34), typically in the form of a groove in the main section sidewall. Part at least of the accumulation passages in the second reservoir can extend downwards to near the nib, the capillary ink section of the injection passage being connected to them.
|
