A damping element for axial movement consists of a telescopic tube assembly. The larger tube (3) closed by an end plate (5) on one side is over about half its length filled with a compressible plastic foam (4). The second, smaller tube is a cylinder assembly whose piston (7) is outstroked and whose cylinder chamber is also filled with flexible plastic foam (2). The psiton rod (6) is located in the centre of the larger tube (3) with its end face against plate (5). When the two tubes are axially pressed into one another, the two flexible plastic foam elements are being compressed, thus absorbing energy.
|
