PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an image which is in focus over a wide range while reducing a processing load for reconstruction during live view driving.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus has, between a photographic lens and an image element consisting of a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements, a micro-lens array in which one micro-lens corresponds to the plurality of photoelectric conversion elements. The image processing apparatus includes: a region splitting unit for splitting a captured image acquired by the image element into a plurality of first split regions and a plurality of second split regions; a distance information acquisition unit for acquiring distance information of a subject from the first split region; and a refocus image generation unit for generating a reconstruction image set at a predetermined focal position for the second split region. The refocus image generation unit sets a predetermined focal position for each second split region, on the basis of the distance information acquired from the first split region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
