PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystalline silicon type solar battery that is improved in open circuit voltage, curve factor and short-circuit current and has a high conversion efficiency.SOLUTION: A solar battery includes a photoelectric conversion unit containing a conduction type monocrystalline silicon substrate, a first transparent electrode layer on a first principal surface of the photoelectric conversion unit, and a first collection electrode in this order. The photoelectric conversion unit has an uneven structure on the surface of the first principal surface side, and the radius of curvature r of a recess portion of the uneven structure satisfies r<5 nm. The thickness d11 of the first transparent electrode layer satisfies 1 nm<d11≤50 nm, and a first insulation layer is formed on substantially the whole surface of a first collection electrode non-formed area on the first transparent electrode in which the first collection electrode is not formed. The thickness d12 of the first insulation layer satisfies 5 nm<d12<150 nm, and when the refractive indexes of the first transparent electrode layer and the first insulation layer are represented by n11 and n12 respectively, 1.6≤n12≤2.0 and n12<n11 are satisfied, and the first collection electrode contains a plating layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
