SOLID INTERFACE JOINT WITH OPENING FOR NUCLEAR CONTROL ROD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel interface arranged between a cladding tube and a pellet integrated body in a nuclear control rod.SOLUTION: An interface joint (3) consists of material transparent to neutrons and having an opening, has high heat conductivity, and has a structure which is designed such that it can deform by compression to a thickness direction. The interface joint is inserted between a cladding tube and a pellet integrated body made of boron carbide which is material absorbing the neutrons so as not to exceed height of the pellet integrated body.
