PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which prevents or inhibits change of a tensile force of a belt which is caused by reciprocation of a pressing roller, and to provide a printing method.SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes: a transfer mechanism part 12 having a flexible endless belt 53 which transfers a workpiece W; a print mechanism part 13 which makes prints on the workpiece W transferred by the endless belt 53; a support plate 56 which supports the endless belt 53 from an opposite side of the print mechanism part 13 and may move in a thickness direction of the endless belt 53 in the supporting state; a pressing roller 61 which is provided so as to reciprocate in a transfer direction of the workpiece W and an opposite direction of the transfer direction and presses the workpiece W to the endless belt 53; and a fixed roller 62 which is restrained from moving relative to the support plate 56 in the transfer direction between the pressing roller 61 and the support plate 56 and presses the workpiece W to the endless belt 53.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
