PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable valve system including a sensor for measuring a cam angle and a sensor for measuring a crank angle, at least one of the sensors being constructed as an absolute angle sensor, and capable of suppressing the occurrence of a measurement error due to the absolute angle sensor.SOLUTION: A variable valve system 10 includes a crank angle sensor 240 for measuring the rotating angle of a crank shaft 200, a cam angle sensor 340 for measuring the rotating angle of a cam shaft 300 which opens/closes a valve in conjunction with the crank shaft 200, and a control part 100 for controlling an internal combustion engine. At least one of the crank angle sensor 240 and the cam angle sensor 340 is constructed as the absolute angle sensor which measures an absolute rotating angle and outputs a voltage signal corresponding to the rotating angle. The control part 100 performs correction processing for correcting a value for the rotating angle calculated on the basis of the voltage signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
