PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive resin composition comprising a blue or green colorant, from which a color filter with excellent luminance can be formed, a patterning method using the photosensitive resin composition, a color filter including a color layer formed by using the above photosensitive resin composition, and a display element including the color filter.SOLUTION: The photosensitive resin composition is obtained by incorporating a compound having a specific structure including an imidazole skeleton to a photosensitive resin composition comprising (A) an alkali-soluble resin, (B) a photopolymerizable monomer, (C) a photopolymerization initiator, and (E) a colorant having a blue or green hue.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
