The floor (5) and sidewalls (1) of the craft are reinforced by a flexible but not extensible envelope (6). This envelope may pref. be a net of such shape and size that the inflated craft fits into it tightly and it is secured to the craft in such a way as to ensure the correct relative location of the two on inflation. A head rope(8) substantially shorter than the circumference of the craft and not significantly extensible, is fixed to the top of the reinforcement; from this run a number of support lines (10) so arranged that the craft will hang from them in a substantially upright attitude.
