<p>The anti-skating device acts on the stylus arm of the record player and on the pivot point of the arm, to prevent skating of the stylus across the record. The device uses a mobile magnetic structure, fixed to the pivot of the arm, and comprising several magnets of alternate polarity and angularly adjustable relative to one another. At least two further magnets are fixed to the pivot mounting, the position of one or both of which is adjustable relative to the mobile magnetic structure. The latter pref. comprises two pair of magnets (a, d; b, c) with north and south poles of the two pairs (a, d; b, c) being diametrically opposed, with a given angle (A) between the magnets of each pair.</p> |
