Vertical sliding window with fixed and sliding frames - has metal guides for timber frames which are used for preventing heat losses

The vertical sliding window has a fixed frame and an upper and lower moving window panel. The metal frames have insulating parts for preventing loss of heat and formation of condensate. Conventional fittings can be used for metal windows and the fixed frame (1) and moving frames (2, 3) are made from timber. The guide profiles (7, 11, 12) are made from metal or plastics and they have two parallel grooves (11, 12) for accommodating sliding holders (13, 14) of moving frame guides (8, 9). The guide profiles are fastened on the inner faces (40) of the vertical frame members (1) of the fixed frame.
