In conventional support structures for the front end of motor vehicles, in particular mounting supports, consisting of a hybrid injection molded plastic with embedded sheet-metal parts, the replacement of the sheet-metal parts with organic sheet is increasingly desired. The aim of the invention is to prevent an enlargement of the cross-sections due to the limited installation spaces. This is achieved in that at least one part of the support structure (1) and in particular the horizontal support beam (2) contain a blank made of organic sheet with an annular depression that runs in the longitudinal direction, a hollow profiled element made of a thermoplastic material being molded on the longitudinal edge strips of said blank in a formfitting and bonded manner on one side or on both sides. |
