<p>The ski-boot to ski retaining device consists of a body (7) attached by screws to the ski (32). A piston (4) with a hemispherical end is acted on by a spring (3) so that the end is in contact with the curved surface (9) of the clamp (1). - A bell crank lever (2) pivots about a pin (22) and carries a second pin (16) which engages a slot in the piston (4). Depressing the lever (4) with the ski-stock (40) causes the piston (4) to move to the right allowing the clamp (1) to be swung upwards and release the ski-boot from the ski (32). The lever (2) is retained in its lower position by the pawl (28) which is released when the clamp (1) swings upwards.</p> |
