<p>A fruit packaging machine has a horizontal fruit supply conveyor above a conveyor carrying trays. The tray conveyor has horizontal ends, with the centre section inclined upwards. Fruit is marshalled into rows in a gate which reciprocates to deposit two layers of two rows in a tray. The tray conveyor has two side and a centre chain. Each has brackets for rods having a cranked centre section lying rearwards. The rods carry four rows of pallet blades and, as these move over the upper pulley, are supported horizontally with trays deposited on a stack.</p> |
