The roof structure consists of completely or partially prefabricated trusses (5,6,7) and eliminates the need for concrete bearing pads under the roof. The frame is supported on the tops of the buildings walls (8,9) and beams (18,19) are laid perpendicular to the planes of the trusses. The ends of these beams rest on the transverse gable-ends (11) or walls and are linked to the uprights (16,17) of the trusses so as to support them in cooperation with the tops of the walls. To erect the frame, the trusses are placed vertically in the usual way on the tops of the walls. The beams are inserted into position and attached to the transverse gable end walls. Finally, the trusses are attached to the beams. Each individual trusses should not exceed a height of 3.9m, in order that it can be transported in one piece.
|
