<p>An installation ensuring the circulation of molten metal in a furnace, comprising an induction coil connected to a source of alternating current and surrounding an elongated core, both ends of the core projecting outside the coil. The novelty is that the core is located inside the coil so that 25-50% projects from one side of the coil, w.r.t. the middle point of the coil, and this part of the core is protected from the molten metal by a refractory sleeve or coating, while a heat-resistant shield protects at least the side of the coil nearest to this part of the core. Pref. 37% of the total length of the core projects from the coil on the side where the molten metal is situated. The core is pref. 105-140 cm long and the projecting part about 38 cm long.
