An economiser operates on gaseous fuels or on atomised liquid fuels furnished with a flame burner, by supplying steam to the system. Steam is defined as vapourised water as opposed to an atomised water supply. The steam is injected directly to the hottest point of the flame to ensure effective dissociation of the constituents. The steam jets are supplied in members around a burner, the steam jet making an angle of steam 25 deg. and 65 deg. with the centre line of the flame. The steam is controlled so as to remain proportional to the quantity of fuel or the load on the heater.
|
