A portable hair dryer which includes a base, a head supporting assembly, and a dryer head assembly which automatically increases in volume when unlocked from a storage configuration. The dryer head assembly includes a generally annular air distribution plenum therein for receiving drying air and directing it generally radially inwardly, and a hood or cover which is pivotally mounted in respect to the annular plenum. |
