<p>The sacking-off weighing machine is for potatoes and similar crops, with a main elevator belt delivering the majority of the potatoes to be weighed, parallel to which is a make-up belt supplying them in a small quantity. A weighing mechanism (14) with hopper (13) and dial is supplied by the belts, and has on the dial two separate adjustable proximity switches. The first stops the main belt on the approach of the pointer, and the second the make-up belt. A discharge flap in the base of the hopper releases the weighed quantity after the belts have been shut off.</p> |
