<p>The mine support arrangement includes a joint in which a hanger is suspended from two parallel horizontal trough-shaped members (2) with an angle iron spacer (3) between them. The hanger is used to support a plate (14) under the trough members. A hooked member (7) hung over the outer rim (8) of each trough is U-shaped in end view, and a tie bolt (4) with a hooked end (5) is slung between them, under the troughs, and secured by a locking nut (11) at the other end (6). Two eye bolts (17) previously assembled on the tie bolts then pass through the plate (14) and through the horizontal flange of the angle iron spacer between the troughs, and the plate is clamped to their undersides, spanning them, by lock nuts (19) on the eye bolts.</p> |
