The partition wall comprises several room-high sections, with grooves in the edges in which fixing devices engage. The sidewalls of the grooves (7) are parallel to each other, at least in the innermost portion, and the top fixing devices are U-section components (2) with spring arms, gripping inside the grooves in the erected position. The bottom fixing devices are saddle-shaped, fitting inside the grooves and supporting the sections, which they thrust upwards into the fixed position. The U-section components can have base portion whose width on the outsid is roughly equal to that of the grooves. In the unassembled state, the arms extend outwards from the base, their free ends beint bent inwards, the components being of flexible or spring material.
