Toy car with remote control - outer flexible cable drives rear wheels using hand crank and forms sheath for inner flexible steering wire

The toy car has its front wheels pivoting each side of its body. These are linked to a flexible wire, using links and a cranked lever and a return spring is provided. The rear wheels are rotated by a crown sheel driving a pinion on the axle. This crown wheel is fixed to a hollow flexible cable projecting rearwards; the other end of the cable passes into a housing held in the hand. The drive is transmitted by turning a hand crank. A thumb slide operates the steering via the flexible wire, which passes up the centre of the hollow cable.
