The flexible plastic liquid containers has seam-welded joints and a double thickness base section to provide improved strength and rigidity. A single sheet of plastic (10) is folded to provide a continuous section base (18). The base has a folded-in section that includes double thickness side walls (12) that are welded together. The double thickness section provides a stable base when the container is filled with liquid. The remaining sides are also welded.
