The resetting device reads a preset length value into the counters, and pref. each of the contents is provided with a preset length value indicating device which is arranged to receive the preset value from the resetting device in the form of an electric signal. Signal is fed to the counter following a preliminary prescribed actuation. Remote control dispenses with visual check by operators. Counters can be serviced remotely without the intercession of an operator. Speed of spinning machine can be increased.
