The fan heater housing retains the drive motor, the heating elements assembly and electric switching and control members, as in 2508048. The two-part housing rear portion (1') is formed by two stacked shells (20, 21), connected together in the region of a separating plane running through the rear and side walls. Preferably the separating plane is formed by a connecting fold (22). The motor (9), driving the fan impeller (10) may be mounted on the lower housing shel (20). When viewed from top, the motor and fan are located near the left-hand side wall.
