<p>A holding arrangement for pirns on tubes with cylindrical heads, in automatic loom shuttles. Specifically a pirn tube yolder has a passage through which a spring loaded plunger having a recessed face with a rim projects to enclose wholly or partly the end face of the pirn tube head. Takes care of discrepancies in pirn tube head sizes from different makers of up to 2mm, as well as of the absence of a through bore. The holder is adapted to all sizes of tube head and overcomes the possibility of the pirn falling through the shuttle due to delayed closure of the holder.</p> |
