The storm water overflow basin produces a relatively unpolluted water overflow during storms, and incorporates an inlet, a storm water overflow and constricted foul water outlet, with a mobile barrage panel controlling overflow. The barrage panel is supported near its upper edge and opens or closes in response to the water level in the basin. The panel rests on the crest of a fixed sill, and pivots about an axis near its top edge and as high as possible above water level. The panel has a counterweight remote from its external face and acts in conjunction with a water level float. |
