<p>A kicker (3) is cast in reinforced concrete, extending the full length of the proposed structure. Reinforcement (4) is inserted together with vertical support members (6) which extend beyond the top surface of the kicker. A supporting framework (8) is for shutter panels is placed onto these vertical members and held in position by means of adjustable props (9). The enclosure formed by the shuttering faces is stop-ended and concrete poured in. Once the concrete has set, the adjustable props enable the shutter frame to be moved upwards on the vertical support members to which sections are added as the work progresses. The shuttering comprises a central framework (8) with two parallel supporting frames (13), each one containing a shutter panel (19) and linked by transverse members (14) to which the heads of the adjustable props are attached.</p> |
