<p>The outlet channel of the extruder nozzle is constructed with a core displaceable axially relative to the preferably conically-formed outlet opening. The outlet channel also cooperates with the displacement device. This system is modified so that a monitoring element is provided continuously scanning the path of the issuing section of material the appropriate position of the element being exhibited as an electrical signal via slider potentiometer. This magnitude acts on a function generator the output voltage of which serves as a function of the input voltage and a pre-set value. This information is used to regulate a control valve linked to the hydraulic system of the extrusion press. In contrast to the usual extrusion system for producing e.g. blow moulded articles, in which control of tube length and/or wall thickness, is which a number of parameters e.g. temp. moulding speed, material composition, pressure change uncontrollably it becomes possible to determine parameters instantly and to compensate for changes in these.</p> |
