<p>The bottle-opening tool can be used both for unscrewing caps and for levering off caps which are crimped in place. Its head has a lug (3), a guide finger (4) ending in a supporting boss (5), and a locking ramp (6). Finger and ramp form two adjacent sides of a square, and the lug is situated where the two other sides join. The lug can be used either in conjunction with the boss to lever off a crimped cap, or with the ramp and finger when unscrewing a corrugated grip surface of a cap. The ramp can be either smooth or serrated, and the side of the square formed can be between 20 and 30mm. The tool can be made from steel plate by a single stamping operation.</p> |
