<p>The track rods(28) of the front wheel steering linkage are connected to angled levers (27, 27a) which are joined by a cross strut and which are connected to the bearing support arms(1) by control rods (29). As the wheels are turned for steering the angled levers move the wheel bearing levers asymmetrically. The outside wheel, on cornering, moves rearwards while the inside wheel moves forwards. This provides a stabilised steering, whish uses fewer levers than conventional layouts, and in which the amount of steering compensation is adjustable by a movable link.</p> |
