<p>The mortice lock with horizontally sliding bolt is for pressed metal door panel frames. The single turn mortice lock ensures high mechanical reliability and stability, being small to fit into narrow profiles. The lock bolt is not actuated directly but by a reversing mechanism on rotating a key. The locking plate held on a fixed pin is displaced by a lever which in turn is held on a fixed pin. This plate actuates the bolt in the rotating direction of a key or of a locking cylinder. The rotating point and the dimensions of the locking plate on either side are such that the horizontal displacement of the bolt is at least doubled by the kinematic system on rotating the key by direct actuation.</p> |
