1410415 Twisting pastry strips LU BRUN & ASSOCIES SA 12 March 1973 [10 March 1972] 11827/73 Heading B5A Articles in the shape of twsited bars are formed from a strip of pastry or the like by (a) cutting the strip transversely into ribbons, (b) gripping each ribbon transversely at points spaced along its length, the extreme gripped portions being the terminal parts of the ribbon, (c) twisting the ribbon about its longitudinal axis to form a twisted part between adjacent gripped portions and (d) flattening each twisted part. As shown, a sheet or strip B of pastry is supplied on belt C11, cut into ribbons r and fed between upper and lower arrays of belts comprising gripping belts (C3), C4, a lower input belt C9 upper and lower twisting belts (C1), C2, output belts (C5), C6 and twisting flattening belts (C7), C8 and thence to discharge belt C12 where the twisted ribbon is cut by discs D while being held by belts C10. Twists are formed at v by 180 degree rotational movements of the twisting device including belts (C1), C2 moved in steps between the steps of movement of belt C11 and the cutter. |
