The wear-resistant lining for installation in concrete mixer comprises closely adjacent interchangeable wear panels (1, 2) bolted to the walls of the mixing vessel with an intermediate resilient layer. Each panel consists of a chill cast upper panel (1) to which is rigidly connected a resilient lower panel (2) covered on all sides by the upper panel by a certain amount. The bolt opening (4) in the lower panel may be larger than the bolt opening (5) in the upper panel. The upper panel may be thicker than the lower panel, with a rectangular external shape. The whole panel may be flat or curved. The lining combines the high wear resistance of the upper panel with the resilience and sound damping properties of the lower panel.
