The shaft consists of a shaped component fixed to a building wall and open towards it and towards the top, and curved from the points where it is fixed to the wall to that where it is furthest from it. In the horizontal planes this component has an undulating profile, and the undulations (20, 21) extend from the edges (9) bearing against the wall, with their radii decreasing to a predetermined min. value. The concave undulations (21) seen from the outside have smaller radii than the convex ones (20). An L-section metal rail has a length corresponding to the shaft width and its horizontal flange forming a support for a grating. Its ends are bent into flanges running in the lengthwise direction. When the rail is mounted horizontally on the wall, these flanges bear against other flanges formed (9) of the shaft edges.
|
