<p>The sack barrow has no load platform and is stood in the vertical position on a support plate (7) at the bottom. A vertical strut is fitted along the centre of the frame with horizontal pivot (1) at the top. A lifting arm (2) is pivotted on the strut with a long extension complete with foot pedal (3). A chain and hook (5) at the end of the lifting arm secures the load while the foot lever is pressed to lift the load. Securing hooks (4, 6) on the frame hold the lever in either the up or down position. The barrow can transport heavy loads and lower them onto the ground without damage to the ground. The foot operated lever uses the weight of the operator to lift the load.</p> |
