<p>A circular cutting blade for continuously cutting strips from band material, such as paper, has a holder nie seated on a fulcrum (25) enabling it to be swung by a hydraulic cylinder (43). This cylinder has a piston (41) with its piston rod (42) passing through a block (44) mounted on the frame. The projecting tip of the piston rod rests against the inclined edge (28) of the holder (2) and travel of the piston rod swings the holder. The holder carries the shaft (23) of the cutter (3) so that the cutter is also swung. When the pist on ros is at its outer terminal position, the cutter is clear of the attachment (13, 14) so that it can be removed. When the piston rod retracts, the holder (2) is also retracted by a spring (45).</p> |
