<p>The pipe bending machine uses a small, single-phase commutator motor with reduction gear train (3). A coupling is used to disengage the drive from the drive shaft of the bending machine. A roller (15) is mounted on an eccentric pin (17), which is connected by a web to the drive shaft. The eccentric pin with roller protrudes through a slot in the housing. The slot extends over half the circumference of a circle. The pipe to be bent is supported at one side by a stop (14) and at the other side by a central pin (13). When the drive shaft is coupled to the mtor, the roller (15) will move round the central pin and wrap the tube round this pin. The arc over which the tube is bent can be fixed by a control arrangement (19) which is connected to the coupling.</p> |
