The safety equipment prevents hydrocarbons from penetrating into their vaporiser reheating circuit in the event of breakage of the heater coil. It has a closed casing in the reheating circuit and contg. a float with a stop valve at the base, working against a seat in the bottom of the casing round an inlet or outlet pipe. There is an inlet or outlet pipe at the top of the casing, and of larger cross-section than the union to the reheating circuit, thus reducing the speed of the reheating medium. Guides for the float can be provided in the casing.
