Abstract The present invention relates to a method for storing popular media. The method includes determining that a first media is a most popular media and selet-ifi-the first nedia- f or- toring-. A portion of the selected first media is caused to be stored. The portion of the selected first media is less than the entire first media. After the portion of the selected first media is stored, the method involves determining that a second media is the most popular media. In response to determining that the second media is the most popular media, the method involves stopping the storing of the portion of the first media and causing a portion of the second media to be stored. The portion of the selected second media is less than the entire second media.
