摘要 1471613 Oligoglucosylfructose HAYASHIBARA SEIBUTSO KAGAKU KENKYUJO KK 31 May 1974 [1 June 1973] 24201/74 Heading C2S [Also in Divisions A2 A5 and C6] Oligoglucosyl fructose is made by reacting a mixed solution of sucrose and liquefied starch with a glycosyltransferase and concentrating or spray drying after decolorization and deionization. The glycosyltransferase may be obtained from a Bacillus, e.g. Bacillus circulans ATCC 61, 4530, 9966, Bacillus macerans ATCC 7048, 7068, 7069, 8510, 8514, 8515, IAM 1227, 1243, Bacillus megaterium ATCC 21737, 21738, 21739, Bacillus stearothermophilus FERM-P 2217, 2218, 2219, 2220, 2221, 2222, 2223, 2224, 2225, and Bacillus subtilis var amylosacchariticus Fukumoto. The starch may be corn starch liquefied to 5À0 D.E. by means of a thinning enzyme. In a preferred reaction 80 parts of a starch slurry (25% starch), 20 parts sucrose, and 10 units of glycosyltransferase solution may be reacted at pH 6À0, at 50‹ C. for 3 days. The solution may then be purified with active carbon and spray dried to give white powder of coupling sugar which can be used as an artificial sweetener. The saccharide preferably has the formula [O-α-D- glucopyranosyl - (1 # 4)] n - O - α - D- glucopyranosyl - (1 # 2) - # - D - fructofuranoside where n is 1 to 15. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 1,331,389 and 1,352,633.
