The automatic firearm has guides for a cartridge to be inserted into the cartridge chamber and allows easy removal of a cartridge from the guide eg when a cartridge is not fired and the breech block is withdrawn for another attempt at firing. Forward movement of breech block may however, feed a new cartridge towards the cartridge chamber. This cartridge on the guide is readily removed. One of the guides can be moved away from the position in which it supports the cartridge. This guide is held on a shaft which is able to rotate. The automatic firearm cradle has a double arm whose one arm carried the shaft of the guide. This is esp for an automatic firearm mounted outside tank armoured terrets, by remote actuation from within the turret.
|
