<p>The disc springs of Belleville type are intended as electric insulators and are made from elastic material. To increase the stiffness of the spring, reinforcing elements (12) are embedded in the material. The orientation of the reinforcing fibres, which are coaxial to the spring axis (4), are such that increased resistance is set up against spring deformation due to axial compression. The reinforcing fibre orientation can be axial, radial or at an angle to the spring axis, thus producing individual resistance to deformation. The upper surface can be plane or convex and the lower surface is concave. The general shape is conical.</p> |
