<p>The protection system is particularly for extremities to which dressings must be applied, and comprises a series of flexible strips (2, 3, 4) joined together by a central axis pin (5). These are folded so as to form a cage with a tapered end by which end (9) the cage is secured to the limb clear of the extremity to be protected. the strips can have padded surfaces on one side and they can be held in the closed position by a rubber strap, equipped with a press-stud. They can be of light alloy sufficiently rigid to retain the shape into which they are folded.</p> |
