<p>The disc (1) surface has a number of radially arranged codable series of holes (2) which can be used for coding, with the holes (2a) lying on concentric circles. A concentric timing track (4) is allocated to the series of holes. The hole series (2) and the timing track (4) are scanned by a scanner consisting of light sources and receivers, whose output is connected during subscriber number scanning to a store, and the disc is rotated during this period. Preferably the disc circumference is toothed and meshes with a continuously rotating gear. The rotary disc may be rotated only during the period of subscriber code recall by single actuation. It may be divided into two sections, one having an arcuated slit (5) which is also scanned.</p> |
